Travel photographs have a unique appeal. They may be chosen based on where you've traveled and can invoke fond memories of time and place. Some of my favorites were taken on film at a time when I still had hair and was a lot thinner. Some of the others that grace my gallery were taken in the past year.
Time and place are not the sole considerations for considering travel photography for your space. When I create my photos I am not so much thinking of where I am as what the scene in front of me is telling me. 
In Amsterdam, it was an early morning fog on the canals with an ethereal quality that compelled me to trip the shutter. 
In the fall in New Zealand, it was the repeating gold tones of poplar trees on a hillside that drew me in. 
One of my favorites is a man a few paces ahead of me on a walkway in Porto, the Dom Luís I Bridge arching in front of him — the scale of the bridge against his solitary figure is what captured me. The cool thing is, any of these photographs can appeal to someone who has never visited any of these places as they make the transition to fine art photographs.
